Trouble for Future

Hi! Certainly, everyone has difficult days and many problem in your life during COVID-19. I also have many problem that I cannot handle now. Present, I don’t know what major I should take. I like Computer Science major, but my father tell me to take the major that he recommend. I don’t know whether my college has my favorite major or not because I have no knowledge or concept at choosing major to study and where I should take to study that major. I have just been in Hawaii for 2 years, and for me, everything is still new, I don’t know where I am going to ask those question. Besides, COVID-19 make everything become more difficult since I can’t talk to everyone to learn about U.S education and career. During COVID-19 and these problem, I do some exercise to make my health get better because good health good life. I usually watch youtube to learn English and entertain, but I am also trying to avoid the fact that I need to plan for my life now. However, I am really happy that I have not been giving up yet, and I am trying to get better everyday.

  1. Hi Liem, Computer Science is a really great field to pursue!! You can find a lot of well-paying jobs with that degree. I would suggest that you contact Jill and schedule an appointment with her to talk about your career options and to plan a path to your future. You will have one more semester to really think about it while you are finishing ESL 23. Right now, you are doing the right thing by taking your pre-requisite classes and getting those out of the way. All degrees require these classes. Let me know if you want to chat more about this, and I can help you get into contact with people on campus that can assist you!

  2. Hopefully everything should be okay, first pass this semester then when you are finished you can rest and think about what’s next for you. Right now don’t worry too much.
