the happiest moment and also saddest moment

The memorable moment that I never forget that is the moment my neighbors friends sat together to ring in the new year ( the lunar new year, in 2010). Two day before the lunar new year, that was the beautiful day, everyone was eager to clean up the house and go to grocery store to buy food. While everyone was preparing the traditional food for the lunar new year, I was still sleeping, but the scent flew everywhere, I could not imagine that the scent made me immediately went out of bed. After that I went brush my teeth and took a shower. Generally, I would wake up late, but today was exception. I went to my friend’s house to play. However when I came there, my friend had a fever so I could only talk to him a little, and then I left. This was the first time  I recognized my futility when I could not do anything for my friend. And then, I came back home and help my mom. Soon after, my cousin told me to come my parent’s house to took care of them and waited for my aunt or uncle came back. At that night, I stayed to eat dinner with my grand parent and my uncle’s family ( in fact, I did not want to walk back home, so I waited my mom to take me home). The last day of the year, today I woke up early and I immediately visited my friend’s house, and I knew that my friend was transferred to the hospital yesterday  because his condition has deteriorated. After a while, I was back home and begged my mother to take me to the hospital, but my mom told: “ that is impossible to let you come to the hospital, you may also have fever if you contact him.” But luckily, my mom finally agreed that I could visit him but just a moment. When I came there, I met my friend and told him that: “Everything is ok bro, try hard to recover and go back home.” Soon after, it was suddenly raining hard, I said goodbye to him and turn back home. In the afternoon, it was still raining hard. Maybe this year, I could not sat with my neighbors friends to watch the fireworks. In the evening, it suddenly stop raining, and they announced that they would still have fireworks. At that night, everyone in the neighborhood gathered to watch fireworks. At few moments later, my friend and his family came in everyone’s surprise. And then, my friends told that his health was better and doctor accepted that they could take care of my friends at home. I was very happy that my friend would spend time in the hospital to ring in the new year. In the middle of that year, my neighbors friends moved to the city person by person. So for me, that is always the memorable moment in my childhood I will never forget, and how about you what is a memorable moment in your childhood ?
